A garnet-colored wine. Aromas of overripe rose hips and violet blossoms are complemented by notes of dogwood berries. The palate is full-bodied, complex, long, and slightly astringent. Since the wine was aged in French barrique barrels, it is smooth, velvety, and complex. It pairs excellently with dark meat dishes and aged hard cheeses. An elegant, full-bodied wine suitable for bottle aging.
