B\V Winery Triumphs at Bacchus Madrid 2025
From March 31 to April 4, 2025, the prestigious international wine competition Bacchus Madrid took place, and B\V Winery proudly represented Moravia at this renowned event.
We are thrilled to announce that we were awarded three of the highest honors — Gran Bacchus de Oro — for the following wines:
• Scheurebe, late harvest, vintage 2023, batch 2329
• Gewürztraminer (Tramín červený), selection of grapes, vintage 2023, batch 2356
• Müller Thurgau Reserva, late harvest, vintage 2021, batch 2103
In addition to these extraordinary successes, we also received 16 gold medals (Bacchus de Oro)and 5 silver medals (Bacchus de Plata).
These accolades are a strong confirmation that the philosophy of B\V Winery — based on meticulous care, respect for terroir, and allowing wines the time they need to mature — holds its value even on the international stage.
Bacchus Madrid is organized annually by the Unión Española de Catadores, in collaboration with the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and VINOFED. This year marked the 23rd edition of the competition, with over 1,500 samples of wines, vermouths, and — for the first time — spirits from around the world.
Wines were judged through blind tastings by a panel of 100 wine experts from 28 countries, including the Czech Republic. A new feature this year was the use of digital tablets to record scores, streamlining the judging process significantly.
We are deeply honored by the recognition our wines received. It serves not only as valuable feedback but also as a great motivation for our continued work. A heartfelt thank you goes to our oenologistand the entire B\V Winery team, whose daily dedication made this achievement possible.

Exceptionally, we are also releasing two gold-medal-winning Rieslings, although they still require a few more months of bottle aging before their official release.
